Lyrid meteor shower
This shower peaks late evening on the 22nd and the morning of the 23rd but some may be seen from the 19th to the 25th. Look out for them on both nights over the weekend. The maximum amount that could be seen per hours is around 10, but this would be from a very dark sky with no moon! In reality you can expect to see half this amount.
The radiant of the shower is shown in the image below. When viewing meteor showers it is best not to look at the radiant but the areas around it. Simply look in that direction to view them.
